This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made at Ramswood Nurseries, 196 Manchester Rd, Rixton, Warrington, WA3 6EA. We are committed to selling high-quality products and ensuring customer satisfaction.
1. General Policy & Proof of Purchase
All refunds or exchanges must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase (till receipt or invoice) and must be initiated within the specified return period. Without proof of purchase, we may not be able to process a refund or exchange.
2. Live Plants, Trees & Shrubs Policy
Due to the perishable nature of live plants and the reliance on proper aftercare and environmental factors outside of our control, our policy for live plants differs from other products:

At the Point of Sale: We guarantee all plants are healthy and true to type upon leaving the garden centre. Please inspect all plant material thoroughly before purchase.

No Warranty or Refund: Once a live plant, tree, or shrub has left the nursery, we cannot offer a refund, exchange, or warranty as their survival is dependent on planting location, soil type, watering, feeding, and weather conditions.

Damage/Pests: We do not offer refunds or exchanges for plants that develop issues due to pests, diseases, or neglect after the point of sale.
3. Non-Plant Goods Policy
This policy applies to all non-perishable goods, including garden furniture, tools, compost, pots, aggregates, and giftware.
A. Faulty or Not Fit for Purpose
If a non-plant item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for its intended purpose, you are entitled to a full refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase, in line with your statutory rights.
B. Unwanted Goods
If you simply change your mind about a non-plant item, you may return the item within 14 days of purchase, provided:

The item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

You have the original proof of purchase.
Refunds for unwanted goods will be processed using the original payment method.
4. How to Process a Return
All returns must be brought back to the physical garden centre premises during our normal opening hours. Refunds cannot be processed remotely.

Bring the Item: Ensure the item (and its original packaging, if required) is safely transported back to the centre.

Provide Proof: Present your original till receipt or invoice.

Consult Staff: Our team will inspect the item and process the return or exchange as per the terms outlined above.
5. Exclusions and Exceptions
The following items are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable:

Plants, Trees, and Shrubs (as outlined in Section 2).

Perishable Items where the seal has been broken (e.g., opened bags of compost or fertilizer).

Gift Cards or Vouchers.

Items marked as Final Sale or Clearance.
